Ere Perez is fast becoming one of my favourite brands and today I’m sharing my absolute favourite product of theirs…. So far! Say hello to the Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pot in Holy * from Love Lula. Oh my god, it’s so gorgeous! I’ve been using this pretty much every day since I got it and that was about 6 weeks ago now. I did a little review of the Ere Perez brand on this post if you want to have a read, but I won’t repeat myself here. I will say that the brand is growing pretty rapidly and new product releases are happening very often right now, so it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on them.
The Carrot Colour Pots come in 5 colours ranging from a natural flush to bright red, so there should be a shade that will work for most people. Filled with natural ingredients, like carrot (who would have thought it?!), these little pots are full of antioxidants that are great for keeping skin hydrated and soft. They have a mirrored lid, which is personally one of my favourite features as it is so easy to re-apply while you’re out and about. The little pot is the perfect size and has a really good amount of product inside. I find I only need a tiny amount of product to get a great colour pay off, so I know this will last me months – if not a year or so!
The colour Holy is the perfect colour for me. When I was choosing a colour I knew that I wanted to steer clear of the 2 lighter colours, because I personally like to opt for quite a vibrant blush colour. Most lighter blushes don’t show up on my skin, so I choose darker colours and then blend them out. This left me with Holy, Happy or Hello – I love that all the shades start with a H! Holy was a natural choice for me as it’s not too bright, so won’t take a lot of work in the mornings but I will get colour pay off from it. It’s described as a rich grape colour, which is pretty much bang on, but I would say that it leans towards the red side of the colour spectrum too. I find this great as the redness adds a little extra dimension to the cheeks.
The formula is amazing too. It’s creamy and so easy to apply, but it’s not too creamy that you just end up rubbing it into your skin and it disappears. I use my fingers to warm up the product in the pot and then dab a bit on each cheek before gently blending in. If I’ve used a little too much (which is pretty easy to do, because when you warm the product up a lot of product sticks to your finger) I just blend it out with my Real Techniques Stippling Brush and voila – perfect rosy cheeks. It’s stays put on my cheeks all day and I only have to touch it up if I’m going out after work. Holy is also the perfect lip colour for me – I wish I could get this exact shade in a bullet lipstick. It is quite a good formula for the lips though, as it acts more like a stain than a lipstick and I find it lasts much longer than a lipstick (depending on if I’m eating or drinking). I’m just not too fond of the hygiene of pots for my lips, but that’s just personal opinion. It does dry my lips out a little so I like to add a tiny bit of balm ON TOP of the colour, so that it stays put just as long but isn’t too drying – if I put balm on first the colour doesn’t last half as long. I actually can’t rave about this product enough – hence the title of this post and I’m actually in love with it. If I could marry it I would (sorry Anthony)!
Ere Perez is really hitting it out the park at the moment. They’ve released 2 new foundations, the Quinoa Water Foundation and the reformulated Oat Milk Foundation, which I really NEED to try of course. They’ve also re-branded a few of their products, making them so luxurious and they’ve released skincare now too, which I also NEED to try! The Papaya SOS Marmalade Balm sounds amazing. I’m definitely keeping a close eye on this brand over the next few months, as I feel like they have really established themselves lately and I can only imagine that there’s even more goodness to come.
Have you tried anything from Ere Perez yet? What are your favourite products?
