September Monthly Musings

British Museum

I’m back! I took a couple of impromptu weeks off, as I came down with the flu (and still have it actually) and also had a little bit of a stressful week last week which meant I just didn’t have the energy to blog. But I’m feeling a lot better now, so hopefully normal service will resume. Thanks to my little break this post is now a little late, but I’m still going to post it anyway and you’ll also have a bonus post this week too to make up for last week! So on to what I got up to in September. September is always a crazy busy month for both me and Anthony at work, but we still managed to fit some fun things in.

Weleda Prize

I had the option of redeeming my Weleda prize this month. I was very kindly offered to be shipped to London to claim my Weleda facial and massage in The Model Zone for London Fashion Week and I of course said YES PLEASE!! Anthony and I turned it into a weekend away and we had such a great time. We visited the British Museum whilst we were there – hence the picture. I’ll be writing a full post on the weekend and my prize soon, so make sure you look out for that in the next few weeks. I had planned to have it up sooner, but with my aforementioned illnesses (physical and mental!) I haven’t gotten round to it yet. I will soon though, I promise!

EGX

EGX

The weekend after that we went to EGX – a gaming show at the NEC. Anthony and I have been going for 3 or 4 years now and we love it. I appreciate that most of my readers probably won’t be into games but I love them! We spent the day previewing new games, having some lunch and browsing around the merchandise. It’s great that you can actually play a level of most of the new games and see what they’re like before you buy them. You also get some pretty cool freebies too, which is always a bonus!

Blogging Work

Even though I’ve taken a couple of weeks off from producing content for my blog, I have been doing some work behind the scenes. I created a media kit (finally) and emailed some brands about potential collaborations. I haven’t heard back from all of them – which is expected – but I have heard back from a few awesome companies, that I’m so excited to create content with. Keep your eyes peeled for some cool posts coming soon!

September was a pretty hectic month all in all, so I’m hoping October will be a bit quieter. It’s also my birthday month so I’m sure it will be a good one!
