Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a lovely holiday period. I had a great break and I’ve been getting back into the swing of daily life again over the past couple of weeks. Now that that’s all sorted I’m back to blogging! I have a few exciting things planned this year (for the blog and home life – I’m getting married!) and I can’t wait to share them with you.
For my first post back of the New Year I thought I’d share some of my favourite products from last year that you can pick up from Love Lula. There is a mixture of makeup and skincare and a variety of different price ranges too, so take a browse and let me know if any of these are your favourites too!
Benecos Eyebrow Designer * £4.95
This is one of the best products I found last year! It’s only £4.95 And it’s an absolute bargain! It gives great colour pay off and lasts all day without any touch ups. I don’t do a lot to my brows, but I do make sure that I always fill them in and this pencil is perfect for that. It has a great little spoolie on the other end too, which I use to brush my brows through first.
Ere Perez Versatile Vanilla Highlighter in Falling Star * £23.00
Usually I love a powder highlighter but this one has pulled me over to the cream side. I love how you can either use a tiny bit of this for a really subtle sheen, or you can layer and layer and layer and glow like an angel! It’s not hard to get a good glow out of this and no matter how many times you layer it, it never looks overdone. It’s creamy and comfortable to wear but also lasts all day.
Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pot in Holy * £21.00
The colour pay off on this is amazing! I did a full review here and my thoughts are still the same now. It has a lovely texture that sits nicely on the skin to give a subtle sheen to the cheeks as well as a gorgeous pop of colour. I use this all the time and I still have lots left in the pot. Next month I think I’m going to try the RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek, which people also rave about and I’m excited to see how it compares to this one.
Inika Long Lash Vegan Mascara in Black * £23.00
I heard the hype surrounding this for a good few months before I took the plunge, but now I have I don’t think I’ll ever be going back! This mascara makes my lashes long AND thick, which is exactly the look I like. I’ve recently bought my second tube of this and I can see many more in my future!
Inika Certified Organic Eye Pencil in Black Caviar £16.00
This has been a long term fixture in my make up bag and I’ve repurchased it three times now! I love this one because it’s one of the darkest natural eye liners I’ve tried – some others tend to be more of a dark grey, which I don’t like. The darker the better in my opinion. It lasts a good few hours throughout the day, less on the waterline, but I’ve never had a pencil liner last much longer than that anyway to be honest.
Ere Perez Gingko Micellar Water * £21.50
This is pretty pricey for a micellar water in my opinion but it is by far the best I’ve found. It doesn’t sting my eyes or pull at my skin and makes taking make up off really easy. I also use this as a quick cleanse in the morning, as I don’t use water in the morning, and it leaves me with a nice fresh base for the rest of my skincare.
Kimberley Sayer Ultra Light Organic Facial Moisturiser – SPF 30 * £27.70
I used this for most of last year and it was a staple in my morning routine. It’s lightweight but nourishing and sank in easily to create a lovely base for make up. My main love for it comes from the fact that it has built in SPF, which I really started paying attention to last year. A perfect every day moisturiser. I actually don’t have a photo for this as I used it all up!
Madara Plant Stem Cell Age Defying Sunscreen SPF30 * £29.00
After deciding to try some different moisturisers towards the end of last year, I was in need of a separate SPF. This one came highly recommended so I thought I’d give it a go. I really love this. I use it everyday as the last step in my morning skincare routine to ensure that I’m protected all day. It’s easy to apply and doesn’t leave a white cast on your face, which most SPFs I’ve tried before do. The tube is also HUGE and I’ve hardly made a dent in it.
I hope you enjoyed looking through some of my favourite products from 2018. I only started to exclusively use natural and organic beauty half way through last year and already have a nice collection of tried and tested favourites. I’m excited to see what new products I’ll fall in love with this year. I have my wedding coming up in October, so this year is all about discovering the perfect skin care routine to keep my skin happy and finding some great natural make up for the big day. I’m looking for flawless, glowy skin, a natural but defined eye with winged eyeliner and a (easy to maintain!) red lip, so if you have any recommendations please throw them my way!
*This post contains products that were sent to me free of charge. The company has provided them for review but have not had any control of this post. All opinions are 100% my own.
