For my first brand discovery of 2019 I’m introducing you to Unearthd co. For the keen eyes amongst you, you might recognize these products from my Christmas Gift Guide. I was lucky enough to be sent these two products back in November and I’ve been using them ever since.

Unearthd co. are a fairly new brand who is sister company to Naissance – an online natural beauty products company. They only have a few products out right now, but are growing their collection very quickly! Naissance was started in 2005 and since then they’ve been on a journey of #discoveringbetter. They look for ethical, sustainable and natural ingredients for their products and are always challenging themselves to do better! Unearthd co. is their new range of formulated beauty products, using 100% natural and sustainably sourced ingredients.

Cast Your Eyes On Me Serum

I was lucky enough to try their Cast Your Eyes On Me Lash and Brow Serum *. I’ve only tried one other lash and brow serum and I wasn’t too impressed, but with my wedding coming up this year I thought it might be a good idea to try and enhance them a little! This seemed like the perfect opportunity. The ingredients include Castor Oil, Golden Jojoba Oil, Baobab Oil, Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Inca Inchi & Vitamin E Concentrate to strengthen, thicken, condition, lengthen and boost shine of lashes and brows. Sounds like a dream right?! I was a little skeptical about this at first, but after using this for a good few months I can say that I have seen a difference in both. I use this once a day, at night before bed, and let it work it’s magic overnight. I wake up in the morning and wash my face as normal and it doesn’t leave any sticky residue on my lashes or brows. My lashes are definitely looking thicker and I notice that when I’m taking off my mascara not as many fall out now! The real difference I’ve noticed is in my brows though. They’ve really thickened up and I don’t have to use as much product to fill them in when I’m doing my make up now, which has made my makeup time a lot shorter! I also have to mention the ingenious packaging of this product. It comes in a big bottle but then you get a small tube with a spoolie applicator, which makes applying it to your lashes and brows super easy. The last lash serum I tried was just a pot of oil and trying to rub it into my lashes was such a messy affair that I gave up after a couple of weeks. This makes applying it such a delight that I’ve kept it up for months! The only thing I will say is that transferring the oil to the smaller tube can be really tricky (and pretty messy), but once you’ve done it it’s worth it. I find that I only need to top up the small tube every couple of weeks then.

The Mane Attraction Hair Oil

I was also sent The Mane Attraction Organic Hair Serum *, which initially caught my eye because of it’s heat protection properties. Heat protectors aren’t a big thing in natural beauty yet and it’s one of things I was looking for before this came along. With coloured hair I have to make sure I’m caring for it correctly and a good oil is a staple in my haircare routine. This one does smell a bit funky to me, a bit fruity (which I’m not a huge fan of personally) but the smell doesn’t transfer on to the hair so I don’t mind too much. It includes ethically sourced Organic Argan Oil, Clary Sage and Advanced Bio Active Hair Oleobooster to help protect and nourish hair. I find that I don’t need a lot to keep any frizziness at bay and it lasts all day. My hair always looks nourished, smooth and shiny when I’ve used this and over time it’s helped to strengthen my hair. I’ve been using this for a couple of months and even though I haven’t used it every day, my hair seems to be smoother even before I’ve applied any oil now – although I have religiously used this, unlike most hair oils I’ve had so it could just be due to applying an oil on a regular basis.

Out of the two I’d say my favourite is the Lash & Brow Serum, which I’ve been very impressed with. I do like The Mane Attraction, but not sure yet whether I’ll repurchase it or try something different next time. All in all 2 solid products from their first product range and Unearthd co. is going to be a company to watch in the future. If you haven’t seen their products yet, you can check them out here!
