Today’s post is a little bit different. I’ve been thinking of branching out with this blog and featuring more lifestyle posts for a couple of months now. Then a couple of weeks ago I found the amazing Coventry Bloggers Facebook page. I had no idea that there were other bloggers in Coventry, so I was pretty excited to find this group. After joining and speaking to the lovely Emily from The Emily Chapters I was very kindly invited to try the new menu at Esquires Coffee in Coventry and I thought this is the perfect time to start branching out with my blog. There will be a few new posts around here from now on, but don’t worry it will still predominantly be a natural and organic beauty blog!
So on to the new menu at Esquires Coffee Coventry. Last week a few bloggers from Coventry Bloggers got to try out the new breakfast menu. I don’t believe that they had a breakfast menu before, so this is a completely new addition for them. Situated in the town centre, it’s actually attached to the Transport Museum making it a perfect stop off on your way in or out to see the exhibitions. It’s a pretty big place but also has a cosy vibe about it with some chic décor. The staff are all super friendly and happy to help if you have any requests or questions. They have a variety of plant milks too, which is always a good thing! It’s a fun place to hang out and meet friends for coffee and a catch up. I definitely plan on returning soon.
The new menu is a good one! Whilst perusing I was very excited to see quite a few vegetarian and vegan options. I’m a vegetarian but I do like to opt for a vegan option every now and again and it’s great to have such a wide variety. The Esquires Full Vegan did grab my attention at first, but I can’t resist a good old Eggs Florentine – it might be my favourite breakfast option actually. The Eggs Florentine was gorgeous. The eggs were perfectly runny and the hollandaise sauce was eggs-cellent (sorry, couldn’t resist!). I personally would of preferred if the spinach had been wilted but it was still delicious. I also had a side of hash browns and oh my goodness they were the best hash browns I’ve ever had. They were crispy on the outside but super fluffy on the inside and they weren’t too greasy or salty either. Perfection!
I also ordered the granola, as it’s nice to have a sweet breakfast sometimes instead of a savoury one, and if sweet is your thing then you’ll love this! It includes jumbo oats, seeds, berry Greek yoghurt, seasonal fruits, chia seeds and nuts and I was surprised at how big the portion was. I’m used to granola breakfasts being quite small, but this was a really good sized portion. I found that I would have liked a little more yoghurt, as I ended up eating all of my yoghurt and having oats, seeds and nuts left over at the end, but all in all I really liked it. The fruit was nice and fresh and the oats added a nice crunch. One thing to note though is that there isn’t a dairy free option for this, which is a little unfortunate, but maybe Esquires will add that as an option at a later date.
Thank you so much to Esquires Coffee in Coventry for having me. If you’re based in Coventry or are passing through at any time then I’d definitely recommend popping into Esquires Coffee. It’s such a lovely, warm place and the food is so good. The drinks are also great. I had a Coconut Milk Mocha on Emily’s suggestion and I think I’ve found my new favourite coffee! If you visit you have to try one – you won’t regret it, I promise 🙂
On another note all the girls I met were amazing and I can’t wait to attend some more events with them and create some more lifestyle content for you guys. I hope you like it and stick around for this development in my blogging journey.
