Love Lula Beauty Box – March Review / AD

Love Lula March Beauty Box

This post contains gifted items from Love Lula which have been marked with *. The company has provided them for review but have not had any control of this post. All opinions are 100% my own.

It’s time for this month’s Love Lula Beauty Box * review. I think Love Lula must have heard me last month, as this month there was 2 make up products in the box! If you didn’t get around to reading last months, I’ll link it here for you so you can catch up first. I was really impressed with the variety of products this month and there was only one product that I wasn’t too keen on. Read on for a first look at each product and to find out which one didn’t float my boat!

Sarya Couture Makeup Organic Eyeshadow – £17.80

I did a full review of Sarya Couture Make up products on the blog last month here, so I won’t go into too much detail on this one. I received shade Mocha, which was a relief because it was different to the last one I received and I can use both together now to create a smoky eye. This is a very wearable brown shade that I like to use as an everyday all over wash of colour with some eyeliner for a bit of added definition. These eyeshadows are long lasting, don’t crease and have great pigmentation. A good addition to your make up arsenal.

Madara Deep Moisture Gel – £28.00

This was the star of the box for me. I’ve been using this for the past week every morning and it’s been adding some extra hydration into my skin. If you read my latest post on my skincare secrets then you’ll know that I’m currently using lots of thin layers of targeted products in my routine and this one has fit in quite nicely. With the recent weather changes my skin has been leaning towards the dry side, so this came at a great time. I’d need to try it for longer to give an accurate review but first impressions are great! It’s lovely to use, sinks in quickly without any pilling and doesn’t break me out either.

Inika Certified Organic Liquid Eyeliner – £19.00

Now… what to say about this. First of all I love that this has been included as black eyeliner is something that most people will use, even if just for special occasions. However, it just doesn’t work for me. I’m quite particular with my liquid eyeliners and I personally like a felt tip/ brush eyeliner – I find them by far the easiest to use. The applicator on this is just too stiff and rigid to get a good shape with. I also found that it picked up quite a lot of product but then didn’t distribute it well enough, so I ended up with black blotches on part of my lid that I couldn’t blend out with the applicator. Everyone does eyeliner differently and it’s probably just me that couldn’t get this to work, but for me personally it’s a no.

Hurraw Kapha Lip Balm – £4.99

We had a lovely lip balm in last month’s box, so I was surprised to see another one this month. In my opinion I can never have too any lip balms, so I didn’t mind getting another one, but I know some people had commented that they would have liked to have seen something different. Anyway the lip balm itself is really good. I’ve had Hurraw lip balms before and have always been impressed by them, but Kapha is a new one to me. I love the menthol smell it has to it and it feels super moisturizing on my lips. This is probably one of the thickest balms I’ve tried in recent months and it gives a good coat of balm with just one stroke. I find that it lasts for hours without me reapplying if I’m not eating or drinking and it’s great for nighttime.

Zuii Sample Sachets

I actually received some of the Zuii products to try from Love Lula this month (full post coming soon), so I was happy to see some extras in the box. There were 3 samples; Gradual Tan Body Lotion, Luminising Creme & Gradual Tan Face Lotion. These samples are a good enough size to test the colour and texture before buying the full size, but they don’t really give you a great impression of the product itself unfortunately. They’re still a nice little extra to be included though.

Another good box from Love Lula this month and with a total value price of over £68. I always find Love Lula boxes such great value for money and they really do win in this category for beauty boxes. At only £24.95 I don’t mind too much if I don’t love all the products in the box. Other boxes are much more expensive and I’m too nervous about not liking everything and not getting my money’s worth. Do you get the Love Lula Beauty Box? What are your thoughts on this month’s?
