It’s that time of the month again for another Love Lula Beauty Box * review. I must admit I was pretty underwhelmed by this month’s box. There wasn’t many products in it that made me really excited, but most of them are still nice. I’m just going to do a mini post today to let you know what’s in the box.
Gallinee Probiotic Body Milk – £28.00
I’ve already tried this body milk and I really liked it, so it’s always good to have another one. You can read my full review here. It’s a lovely light cream that soothes skin and nourishes really well. With regular use I notice that any flaky skin is kept at bay. It sinks in quickly, making it perfect to use in the morning and it also smells great! This is probably my favourite product in this month’s box.
I know that a lot of people were disappointed with this item, but I was actually pleased to see a nice bright nail polish in the box. I love my nail polishes (although I’ve just discovered stick on nails, which is revolutionary so not sure how much I’ll use this now!), so I liked having this included. I also like that it’s a nice bright colour as mostly Love Lula tend to play it safe with neutral colours. I can see this being the colour I wear all summer on my toes 😊
I’ve used a few Dr Botanicals products before and been pretty happy with them. This one is an all-purpose balm that can be used anywhere on the body on any dry patches. I’ve been using it on my elbows and heels and it’s been working a treat at softening the dry skin. I’ve also used it as an intense hand balm overnight and I’ve woken up the next morning with super soft hands.
I’ve only tried the Atleya Rose Water before, so this was a nice addition. It’s a water that you can use as a toner, or all over your body to add hydration and protect against moisture loss. However, just like with the Rose Water I found the smell completely overpowering. I’ve used it a few times now and it’s nice on the skin and does create a nice hydrated base for my other products, but I just can’t get over the smell. It’s really strong and it takes ages to fade away too. If you like the smell of Chamomile then you’ll probably like this, but it’s too strong for me unfortunately.
Kimberley Sayer Samples
If you’ve read my past review here, then you’ll know I’m not a huge fan of samples in beauty boxes. They’re so small and you can’t get a proper feel for a product from a tiny sample. It’s not too bad if they’re included as an extra, but these were on the products card included as one of the products. As we had samples last month too, I would of like to see dull size products this month or deluxe samples at least. These are a no from me I’m afraid.
A little bit of a disappointing box for me this month, so I’ve only given a short overview. All in all it’s another great value box with the most expensive product being £28! I’d like to see some new brands in the boxes next time, instead of the same ones and I also hope they get rid of including samples as one of the products. I’m hoping that next month’s box will be better for me.
