There are quite a few things I’ve been loving over the past couple of weeks, so I thought I would share them with you guys. The first two are quite new products that I’ve picked up (last week in fact) but all the others are ones that I’ve had for a while now and they’ve all earned a permanent place on my dresser at the moment.
e.l.f Hello Hydration Face Cream – £14.00
I’ve was looking for a new moisturiser the other day and came across this one on Rhian’s feed on Instagram (she’s @wifelife here if you’d like to follow her!). I looked into it and it sounded like the sort of thing I was looking for so I gave it ago. It’s a pretty thick moisturiser, which I need right now, but it also sinks in quickly. It smooths onto the skin nicely and doesn’t drag or feel too sticky. After only a week I can already see a huge difference in the hydration of my skin.
Alex Steinherr Pore Balance Mask – £5.00
I’ve only used this a couple of times so far, but I love it. It’s a mousse mask which makes for a great application. You apply a thin layer over the skin, leave for 10-15 minutes and wash off. My skin feels really cleansed and soft after using this and I’m intrigued to see how it is after a few more uses. I think I’ll pick up a few more products from this range soon too, as I’m intrigued to see what the other products are like.
This has been on my dressing table for a few weeks now and doesn’t look to be moving anytime soon. It’s a great balm that hydrates the under eye area easily and creates a nice glowing base for underneath make up thanks to the Silica that includes light reflecting particles. I’ve hardly made a dent in this so far and I’ve used it every day since I received it.
This has been my go to lip balm for April. I have so many lip balms that I always tend to have on rotation but since receiving this one it’s been the only one I’ve used. I love that it gives my lips a little sheen and the peppermint gives them a nice subtle plump. It’s a perfect everyday look when I don’t want anything too bold.
Superdrug Gradual Tan Medium / Dark – I can’t remember the exact price of this, but it wasn’t expensive.
I’ve been using this for years now. Well not this actual bottle, but I’ve repurchased it quite a few times now. It’s super cheap and gives a great colour, without being too orange. It’s also a moisturiser, so it leaves skin nourished and makes the tan less patchy too. It layers well and builds up to a believable sun kissed glow. I have Medium/Dark but I find this gives a nice tan for even pale skins like mine. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be online right now, but I think you can still get it in store.
I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now and I’m really liking it. It’s a great every day foundation, that is a good price too. Good coverage, easy to apply, non cakey and comfortable to wear. It does oxidise a bit towards the end of the day and it rubs off around my nose and chin a little too, but all in all it’s a good one to wear throughout the day for work.
