Love Lula Beauty Box – August Review / AD

This post contains gifted items from Love Lula which have been marked with *. The company have provided them for review but have not had any control of this post. All opinions are 100% my own.

August’s Love Lula Beauty Box * has arrived and I’ve been testing out the products over the last couple of weeks for you guys. I’ve found that I haven’t loved this one as much as some of the others we’ve had this year and I’ve been a bit underwhelmed to be honest. There are a couple of products in there that are pretty good though, so here we go!

Inika Certified Organic Lip Glaze in Rosewood – £18.00

This is probably my favourite item in this month’s box. If you’ve read my last reviews of the boxes you’ll know that I love it when a make up product is included! This one is no exception. It’s a lovely dark pink colour, that will suit most skin tones. I thought it might be a bit dark for me, but it creates a gorgeous deep pink, glossy lip.

It’s not sticky and it feels super moisturising on the lips. It doesn’t last a long time, as it’s only a lip gloss and it doesn’t set on the lips at all but it’s easy to reapply while you’re out – I find I don’t even need a mirror! Apparently you can use this on top of lipstick too, although I haven’t tried that yet.

Laidbare In Safe Hands Sunflower Hand Cream – £6.99

This is a perfectly lovely hand cream. I’ve used Laidbare products before (review here) and really liked them so I was sure I would like this and I did. I’ve only been able to use it a couple of times, because I had my fingers tattooed last week (yay!) and I’ve only been using coconut oil on my hands since then.

When I did use it however, it sunk in pretty well – there was still a hint of stickiness but not so much that it made me want to wipe it back off! It has a really nice smell that lasts on the hands and it made my skin feel really soft.

Nature’s Kitchen Gentle Therapy Rescue Cream – £8.99

I love a good balm, but I do have quite a few now and they always last me a really long time as I don’t use that much. This one seems like a really nice one. I’ve tried it on my heels, which are always the driest part of my body, and it has made them really soft after only a few applications.

This probably won’t get added into my routine straight away, as I’m already using a balm but I’ll keep it for when that one runs out and use it then. Nature’s Kitchen is a fairly new brand to Love Lula I believe and I’m excited to try more of their products.

Madara Eye Contour Cream – £26.00

I’ve only used this a couple of times, as I have another eye cream I’m testing at the moment, but it seems lovely. It’s lightweight and sinks in quickly and I find it sits well under make up too! It hasn’t accentuated my fine lines and creates a nice blank canvas for make up. It has a subtle illuminating property to it that reflects light, making it great at covering dark circles.

I like that this comes in a little pump applicator, instead of a pot as I’ve fallen out of love with pots lately. I don’t know why, but I go through stages! I feel like this would be great for travelling as it’s so light and you can just slip it into your travel bag.

Ayumi Turmeric Body Wash Sample

As ever I’m not a huge fan of samples, so I probably won’t use this unless I’m desperate.

From this box the Inika Lip Gloss and the Madara Eye Cream are the clear winners for me. All the others were okay products, but nothing to scream about in my opinion. I still love getting my Love Lula Beauty Box every month, as they are always good value for money and I like having a little surprise come through my door each month. You can sign up for them here.
