Reiki Infused Skincare with Hemsley Organics / AD

This post contains gifted items from Hemsley Organics which have been marked with *. The company have provided them for review but have not had any control of this post. All opinions are 100% my own.

Hemsley Organics are a wellness driven skincare brand who believe in nourishing your skin as much as your body, by delivering powerful, transparent and sustainable skincare. The aim to deliver luxury products that are powered by nature and infused with Reiki to nourish your skin and spirit. Their products are cruelty free, vegan and 100% certified organic too.

I don’t know a lot about Reiki so I looked into it a little. Reiki is essentially energy. It is a healing system that requires a person to channel positive energy into your body to encourage emotional and/or physical healing. Hemsley Organics charge their skincare products with this energy to clear any blockages that you might have in your energy flow.

I was very lucky to try both their Organic Age Defying Facial Day Cream * and Organic Age Defying Facial Night Cream * and I’ve tried them for a couple of weeks. First of all the packaging is so pretty! It’s super luxurious and the rose gold lid makes them right on trend!

Hemsley Organics Cream

The Day Cream is quite a thick cream and I do find that I need to spend a little longer rubbing it into the skin and don’t use too much of it as it can leave a white cast. Once rubbed in though it feels so nourishing – perfect for the winter months when skin needs an extra hit of hydration. Because of the thickness it also creates a great base for make up, providing a nice even surface to work with. It does seem to fill in any fine lines and make my skin look plumper, so that’s a win too.

The Night Cream is just as lovely. Once again this is a thick cream, which I love for night time as I like to slather on the moisturiser at night. It is a little bit greasy but I don’t mind this for night as I’m only going to sleep anyway. Luckily it hasn’t broken my skin out with the greasiness but I think if you have oily skin this probably wouldn’t suit you. I put on a nice thick layer as the last step in my routine before bed and I wake up with the softest skin. It’s like a baby’s bum!

The Night Cream is definitely my favourite and I’ll continue to use this one. The Day Cream is nice but I find it’s sometimes a little too thick to use everyday. I might end up digging this out in the really cold months. As for the anti-ageing claims, I can’t really tell on this front. I only have a couple of fine lines and the day cream does a good job of making them look better, but I haven’t used them long enough to know whether they will slow the ageing process down.

Hemsley Organics Swatch

With them being infused with Reiki I found myself applying them with a little more thought. Instead of just slapping them on like I do my normal creams and treatments, I actually took the time to massage them in and have a little think about my day. It’s really made me think about what I;m doing when I do my skincare routine now and I’m going to be doing this a lot more often now!

The one thing that I really don’t like about these is the smell. If you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I’m a bit sensitive to smells and anything overly floral/powdery smelling I can’t stand. Unfortunately these have a pretty strong floral smell and it does stick around for a while. If you’re not adverse to smells then I’d definitely recommend picking these up as they are lovely products, that make my skin feel soft and look plump. I just really wish the smell wasn’t as strong. I’m going to stick to using the night cream, as I can’t smell it when I’m asleep but the day cream will be put away for colder months.

If you’re interested in trying them I have a discount code for you. Use the code ‘HAZENUTMUSINGS15’ for 15% off the Hemsley Organic website.
