5 Beauty Routines I’m Trying To Keep To

Beauty Routine

I’ve been a bit slack lately with my beauty routines if I’m honest – not very good for a beauty blogger, I know! It’s just getting super busy with the wedding now and everything else has gotten pushed to the side a bit. In light of this I’m setting myself some routines that I want to start doing that will hopefully get me back into the swing of things. And with the wedding coming up, these will really help me to look my best on the day – they’re necessities really!

Use Hand Cream Every Day

Your hands are always one of the first things to show signs of ageing so we really should be looking after them. Hand cream is something I love to use, but forget quite regularly. I go through stage where I’ll do it all the time and then I won’t do it again for a couple of months.

I’ve recently had a couple of my fingers tattooed and they’re super dry at the moment, so I’m going to use this as an excuse to moisturise more. You really should look after your tattoos, so now I have ones on my hands then I’m going to look after them.

Use Hair Masks

I’m very much at the stage of my life where I want to be in and out the shower as quick as possible. Gone are the days where I would spend hours in the bathroom doing various beauty routines. Now I just want to get it done as soon as possible and get on with other things. With this in mind hair masks have been left by the wayside, as I just can’t be bothered to stand and wait for them to sink in!

My hair has been bleached pretty extremely this year, so I really need to start taking more care of it. Hair masks are great for hydrating your hair and I’m going to try and use one at least once a week.

Exfoliate Once A Week

In keeping with the above, exfoliating has also been thrown out of my showering routine as it just takes too long! I’m getting into using fake tan a lot more lately though and I’m starting to realise how crucial exfoliating is.

Usually I don’t notice my skin flaking, but with the help of the fake tan I can now see it – and it’s pretty disgusting. Getting out of the shower and seeing orange bits of flaky skin all over you is not the one, so exfoliating is also going to be thrown in as a weekly treat now!

Do My Skincare Routine Every Night

With the wedding coming up (T – 6 weeks!) I’ve been too exhausted at the end of the day to always do my full skincare routine. Don’t get me wrong I always take my make up off, but sometimes I’ll just use a toner or moisturiser afterwards. Which there’s nothing wrong with, but I just want to start getting back into my proper evening routine – toner, serum, moisturiser, oil, eye cream and even using my face roller too!

Moisturise My Body

I’ve spoken before about how I neglect the skin on my body quite a bit. I always try and get into a routine of doing it more often and it lasts about a week and then I give up. It’s such a huge task to moisturise my body and quite honestly I’d rather get in my cosies and have more time in front of the TV instead!

Winter is not that far away though now and unfortunately I do have pretty dry skin, so I really need to start doing it. Even if it’s not every day and it’s 3 times a week, I’ll take that as a win this time round!
