If you follow me on Instagram (if not, go give me a follow here 😊!) then you’ll know that I’ve recently become obsessed with Korean Beauty. I started reading about it and it resonates with me so much, so I’ve been applying some of their tips and extra steps over the last month. One step that is a must in their routines is a sheet mask. They do them a few times a week and treat them as an essential part of their routine, not just as a treat on a Sunday every so often! So with this in mind I picked up the CHOBS Organic Essence Collagen Mask Pack * from Love Lula and started testing them out.

The first time I tried one of these it was complicated! Having never had to put one on before it all felt a bit awkward and it took me a few minutes to position it properly. However, once it was on it was the most relaxing experience ever. I chose to lie down with mine on and read for the full 20 minutes as I didn’t trust myself to walk around without it falling off – I don’t think it would fall off if you did walk around, as long as you make sure it’s on properly. I had such a calming experience and it was nice to feel the product sitting on my face and sinking in. I completely forgot to take a photo of me in one, but trust me nobody wants to see that anyway! I’ll try and remember to next time and put it on my Instagram stories.

I used this as part of my nighttime routine, after my essence and before my moisturiser. Once I took it off I gently massaged the excess product into my skin and let it sink in before applying a nice thick layer of moisturiser. Once I woke up in the morning my skin was glowing! I’ve honestly never seen my skin so glowy and dewy – it was amazing! It felt so soft and I couldn’t see a single dry patch at all. I could especially see a difference when applying my make up the next day, as my foundation went on easier than normal and more evenly. I’ve used a couple of the masks now and each time I’ve had the same results. I can’t say much about whether this will help soften and nourish my skin for the long term at the moment, but I have a strong feeling that it will.

These masks have organic rosemary leaf water in them to make skin smooth and soft. They also recommend to keep them in the fridge in the summer, so that it cools your skin at the same time. I can’t wait to try that in the summer and see how cooling they are – I definitely won’t be doing that now though!

I try to use one a week, so they last around a month for me, which isn’t too bad. I would like to start using some sort of sheet mask a couple of times a week soon, but I think I might try some different ones next. I do hate that they are only one use and you have to throw them away after, but unfortunately there isn’t another option for this sort of product at the moment. Just try to look for biodegradable ones and not plastic ones and that will be better on the environment.

The only thing I would say about these is that I do think thy are a bit expensive for 5 masks. You can pick up some sheet masks for about £2, so these do work out to be a bit more than that each. However, the ingredients in them are great and I did love how they made my skin feel. I think I’ll try a couple of the cheaper masks and see how they perform, and if they aren’t as good then I’ll be happy to buy these again.
