Trying Dr Hauschka skincare with their Favourites Set / AD

Dr Hauschka Set

This post contains gifted items from Love Lula which have been marked with *. The company have provided them for review but have not had any control of this post. All opinions are 100% my own.

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been trying out some new skincare from Dr Hauschka. I’ve not had the pleasure of trying anything from them before, so this was really exciting. Love Lula very kindly sent me the Favourites Set *, which has several mini versions of their products.

Dr Haushcka is a brand that I’ve heard great things about, but never got around to trying. I know many people swear by their skincare and a few make up artists love their make up products too. With that in mind I was very much looking forward to testing out a few of their products.

I really enjoyed testing these out and the set is a great way to try several of their products at once. I’m not a fan of sample sachets at all, but I do like a decent size sample product. All the products in this set are either 5ml or 2.5ml which means you can get a good couple of uses out of them and start to get a feel for the product. I love that there is a whole skincare routine in this box, so you can use only this for a week or so and see how you get on – perfect for people who are completely new to skincare.

My favourites from the set were the Regenerating Neck and Décollete Cream, Firming Mask and Regenerating Eye Cream. I did like all of the products but these were my favourites. Eye creams can be very hit and miss for me and this one was a winner. It wasn’t really oily and sunk in well, instead of sitting on top of my skin. It made my under eyes feel nourished and look brighter.

I saw an instant difference with the Firming Mask. After only one use my skin felt a lot tighter and smoother. I only got 2 uses out of this, so can’t comment in the long term effects but it’s nice for an instant lift.

The neck and décolletage cream is a great product – mainly because it reminds me to moisturize my neck area. Now I know that this isn’t a necessity at all, as you can just use your normal face/body moisturisers for these areas, but by having it separate it reminded me to do it. I always forget to moisturize those parts (although I’m getting better at doing my body lately), so by having a specific cream it means that I have to do those areas. They’ve been looking a lot better for it too. The neck shows some of the first signs of ageing so it’s super important to look after this part.

The rest of the products in the set are also really lovely. The Regenerating Day Cream is very soft and soothing and pairs well with the Regenerating Serum. Together they gave me hydrated, supple skin. I also want to say how amazing these products all smell. They remind me of Fizzers sweets and I’m obsessed!

I think this is a great little starter set to introduce you to Dr Haushcka. I’ve loved experimenting with all the products and it’s given me a chance to see which ones I would be happy to purchase in the full size. I’m not sure if this set is available at the moment, but they do other sets that would be perfect gifts – have a look here.

This is going to be my last blog post of 2019. I know I haven’t posted as often in the last couple of months, as I’ve had a lot of stuff going on but I’m excited to start planning new content for next year. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I’ll be back in 2020.
