Introducing the JOIK Organic Range from Love Lula / AD

This post contains gifted items from Love Lula which have been marked with *. The company have provided them for review but have not had any control of this post. All opinions are 100% my own.

I was very lucky this month to be able to try a collection of JOIK Organic skincare products from Love Lula. The Organic range consists of products that are certified by EcoCert according to the COSMOS standards, so you can shop this range knowing that the products have all been checked for you.

I’ve tried a couple of their products before and really liked them so was super excited to start trying these out. I’ve been using them for a few weeks now, so thought I’d share my views.

JOIK Organic Spring Herbs Soap * – £11.00

We love a good soap in our house. It saves on waste and they’re much easier to travel with too. However, some soaps can be really drying on the skin. This one is great though as it’s not as drying as some natural soaps I’ve tried. It’s not super moisturising either though so if you have dry skin then this may not be for you, but I find that adding a good moisturiser or oil to your routine once you’re out of the shower fixes any dryness.

I’ve been enjoying using this in my evening shower as the smell is really relaxing and has been making me feel super calm before bed. I’d like to try some more of these soaps as they do lots of different options

JOIK Organic Illuminating & Brightening AHA Peeling Mask * – £35.00

This is probably my favourite product from the collection that I was sent. My skin tends to be prone to breakouts and I find that exfoliators help a lot to control them. Chemical exfoliators are great, as they penetrate deeper into the skin to loosen the top layer and get rid of any dead skin cells effectively.

I’ve been using this about once a week and the results have been amazing. I use it at night so that I’m not directly in the sun for a few hours afterwards and come the morning my skin looks 10 times better – any redness is pretty much gone, blemishes are settled down and my skin tone is more even. You will need to wear SPF the next day after using this (although you should be wearing it every day, anyway!) as your skin will be more sensitive to the sun.

JOIK Organic Two-Phase Eye Make-up Remover * – £17.00

This has been a lifesaver. I’ve actually just ran out of my Superdrug Make Up Remover and haven’t had chance to get any more, so I’ve been using this in it’s place. I find that this is really good at removing my mascaras, including waterproof ones. It does take a few swipes on each eye but all make up removers do for me.

I follow up by using Lush Ultrabalm to remove the rest of my face make up and then a quick swipe over my eyes to remove any excess oil from the eye make up remover. Simple!

JOIK Organic Relaxing Lavender Bath & Body Oil * – £16.00

This is probably the product I’ve been using the most. I put it straight by my bed when it arrived and I’ve been using it nearly every day since. Lavender is probably one of my favourtie scents and it’s so relaxing to me. I love using this at night and slathering my whole body in it. I don’t have baths a lot so haven’t used it as a bath oil, but I imagine it would make such a relaxing experience.

It’s really helped with my dry skin and it sinks in really quickly too, so you don’t have to wait around. I think this will come in super handy over the next few weeks, when I’ve got much more time to do a proper skincare routine while we’re all isolated!

I’ve been super impressed with these products from the JOIK Organic range. It’s nice that they have a range that is all certified, so if that’s what you’re after then you can just go straight to this range and know that it’s all been checked for you. The products all work really well and they’re not super expensive for organic ingredients either. I think these would be a great starting point for someone who is looking to start using organic products.
