Beautifully Natural got in touch with me a few weeks ago to see if I would like to try their hair mask. I have bleached hair so I’m always looking for ways to care for it, so I said yes please and I’ve been testing it out ever since.

The Longer Stronger Lavender Hair Masque * is lovely. It’s a mask that you use before you wash your hair – you apply it to damp hair and then leave it in for an hour before washing it out in the shower. It reminds me a little of Philip Kingsley’s Elasticizer a little. Masks like this are always a little extra work and I tend to get in a bit of a mess with them, but they do wonders for my hair.
It’s packed full of nutrients to help strengthen your hair and keep it smooth and shiny. It uses Vitamin rich oils to nourish the hair and also has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties which makes it perfect to condition the scalp as well.
Whenever I’ve used this my hair has been super soft afterwards. I shampoo and condition my hair as normal once I’ve had the mask in for at least an hour and I’ve seen a great difference in my hair. It’s in much better condition – not dry or damaged feeling at all and for bleached blonde hair that hasn’t had a cut in 3 months it’s had a great effect! Even my split ends aren’t sticking out as badly.
Just a couple of things about this though. Firstly I was expecting the Lavender smell to be a bit stronger, which disappointed me a little. But if you’re susceptible to smells then this might be a good thing for you. Secondly I do find that if I put a bit too much product in my hair then it takes a couple of goes to wash out. I think it’s because it can be quite sticky, so gets stuck in the hair a bit. Nothing that a second wash won’t take care of though.
The last couple of times I’ve also been throwing in another mask instead of my usual conditioner in the shower and the combination of the two of them is just unbeatable! My hair is in much better condition now and it’s definitely worth the extra time and effort it takes to apply it.
I’d definitely recommend taking a look at these masques if your hair needs a little TLC. They do five different scents too, so if Lavender isn’t your thing then I’m sure one of the others will be 🙂
