The Best Face Mask for Clear Skin?? / AD

If you’ve been here a while then you’ll know how much I love Antipodes products. I’m especially having a moment with their products again now after they sent me the cutest self care package for lockdown. Since then I’ve found out some old favorites and tried some new ones too!

Say hello to the Antipodes Halo Skin-Brightening Facial Mud Mask *

This has been in my regular rotation for the past 4 weeks now and I love it! No surprise really, as I love most of the products I’ve tried from Antipodes. I was struggling with a few breakouts since lockdown – I think the stress and change in my diet wasn’t ideal for my skin. So I chose this to try and get my skin back on track.

The Halo Mud Mask has mineral-blessed volcanic mud from New Zealand which is revered for it’s regenerative brilliance. The mud draws out impurities and makes sure that the skin has a nice deep clean. It also includes the antioxidant compound Vinanza Grape & Kiwi which improves skins appearance by targeting melanin production. Prized Peony is also added to leave bright and luminous skin behind.

I’ve been using this twice a week and my skin has never looked better. I initially started using it for my breakouts but I’ve noticed that it has had a huge effect on the brightness of my skin, which I wasn’t expecting. I know it says ‘Skin-Brightening’ in the title but most mud masks are more for deep cleansing. My breakouts have cleared up greatly since religiously using this and I’d recommend anyone to try this if you’re having problems with acne. However, I would say that I would remarket this myself as something to help with luminosity first and foremost.

If I was looking for a mask for glowy skin this one would not have been my first choice, but after using it I would be quick to recommend this now. My skin is the most luminous it’s ever been and the texture looks much more even. This is definitely a holy grail product for me now, which I was not expecting at all. I thought this mask would be one I pulled out just when I had a breakout but I can see that this is going to be one I use weekly from now on.

I like to apply this just before I get in the shower and then wash it off after I’ve done everything else, just before I get out. It doesn’t dry hard, which I love because I hate the dry feeling you get after washing a face mask off that’s gone all hard. It’s super gentle and comfortable to wear and it’s also easy to get off – no harsh scrubbing needed.

I’ll be very disappointed when this comes to an end and will definitely be happy to repurchase this again myself. For £26.99 it’s a mid range price point, but I’ve been using this a lot and I’ve hardly made a dent in it. I love adding new products into my favourites stash and this one won’t be moving any time soon!

    1. Yes, it is a bargain! It’s super gentle unlike other mud masks. I think you’d love it! x
